Clarkland Farm is a family run broodmare operation located in the heart of the Bluegrass. Clarkland is run by Nancy and Fred Mitchell, as well as Nancy's daughter, Marty Buckner. The farm has been in the family since the 1700's. It is not a big operation but one dedicated to getting the best out of each and every horse under their care.

"As a result, the Mitchells and Buckner know every quirk of each velvet-nosed foal, yearling and mare in their care." Alicia Wincze Lexington Herald-Leader.
